Using Merge Tags
Customize receipts and confirmation pages with donation data.
Merge Tags are placeholders for donation-specific information, such as donor details or gift amounts. They allow you to insert dynamic data into receipts and confirmation pages to customize the donor experience.
These placeholders can be added within supported content areas, allowing you to control placement, formatting, and context while keeping messaging aligned with your organization’s voice and layout. In the editor and preview, merge tags appear wrapped in curly braces, such as , indicating where donation data will be inserted. When the receipt or confirmation page is viewed, each merge tag is automatically replaced with the corresponding value from the donation record.
Click the Tag icon within the WYSIWYG editor to insert merge tags. On the Confirmation Page, merge tags are added within the Message Body section. On Receipts, merge tags are added within Custom Content blocks.
