Teen CEO Leads Nonprofit #HowToLife Movement

#HowToLife is a movement of high-school students mobilized together to lead their peers to stand and live for Jesus. It all began when Founder Jordan Whitmer of Harrison, Arkansas, was burdened by low numbers of believing teens and aware that the most effective way to connect them with the gospel was through other teens.

A high school student himself at the time, Jordan is now, at 19, one of the youngest CEOs of an ECFA-accredited* nonprofit, with a B.S. degree in Religion and Biblical studies and a goal of catalyzing a world-wide spiritual awakening within his generation.

Off to a Good Start

#HowtoLife Movement is entirely student-led. Each event includes music, drama, a message and prayer, and is planned, funded and led only by high schoolers. Adults are invited to participate through prayer and financial giving.

In its first year, events have been held in 7 states and are on pace for at least 14 more states in the next few months. Students from the UK and other countries are also reaching out to find or host events.

Jordan comes from a ministry family — his grandfather is the founder of Ron Hutchcraft Ministries — so he is familiar with all aspects of that world. Through his large ministry advisory team and connections to well-established ministries, including Billy Graham’s, he knew ministry donations should be handled professionally right from the beginning of obtaining his nonprofit status in 2016, which is how our paths crossed.

Our Mission: Empowering World Changers

Jordan’s maturity, passion and clarity about his mission were inspiring, and we’re excited that iDonate can partner with his team to help him meet his incredible expansion goals.
